Hydrologic and hydraulic study for Wadi Al Ain road ? Mewall Link road. The total length of the road is about 6.25 Km. The road is located in Ad Dhahirah Region about 40 km south-eastward from Ibri. Along the road alignment 5 main catchments and 5 local catchments have been determined and the resulting 50 years return flood calculated. The Consultant?s investigation has led to the conclusion that the designed drainage structures are necessary and they guarantee the road stability up to a 50 years return period flood. In particular for the project road Irish crossings are proposed to protect the road during the heaviest flood as well to keep the road passable during minor events. Slope protections have been provided where a local flow is crossing the road or the main wadi is running parallel the project road: - Irish crossing: CH 0+500 up to CH 0+920 - CH 2+460 up to CH 2+580 - CH 3+180 up to CH 3+280 - CH 5+545 up to CH 5+595 - Slope Protection: CH 0+000 up to CH 0+500 - CH 2+150 up to CH 2+170 - CH 2+340 up to CH 2+360 - CH 2+960 up to CH 2+980 - CH 4+770 up to CH 4+790 - CH 5+380 up to CH 5+400
